Microsoft issues patch to fix the Halo Master Chief Collection's matchmaking bugs

If you were annoyed with Halo: The Master Chief Collection’s broken multiplayer matchmaking bugs, good news, Microsoft has just issued a patch to fix the affected servers. The company says that the new update brings some improvements, but it is still working on to provide further updates. The company also says that users won’t have to download any patch on their consoles as the update is deployed on the server side.

Recently, several users reported glitches in the title which made them wait for up to six hours to use the match-made online games. Later, several users on Reddit pointed out many more bugs in the game that affected audio and chat problems as well as some bugs that made the game crash. “We’ve received several, well deserved, complaints related to slow matchmaking and other issues,” executive producer Dan Ayoub explained in a statement posted to Halo Waypoint. “From everyone at 343 Industries, we are truly sorry and feel your frustration. You deserve better and we are working day and night to find solutions as quickly as possible, with our first priority focused on matchmaking improvements.”

The company will be releasing yet another update around this weekend to address other issues, including the bug that prevents the achievements from unlocking. This isn’t the first multiplayer issue the title has encountered. The game recently had networking issues which led the developer to delay the dedicated Halo: Combat Evolved multiplayer playlist.
