Microsoft announced today some important Microsoft Teams updates to empower employees in this new hybrid work era. Fluid components, which currently allow Teams users to create collaborative experiences within a chat conversation, are now coming to Teams meetings as well as OneNote, Outlook, and Microsoft Whiteboard.

“New Fluid components in Teams meetings make it easy to co-create an agenda, take notes, and assign tasks, right within the Teams meeting, and access important content whenever you need it. And the agenda, notes, and tasks from meetings will be automatically “placed” in the new meeting notes tab / section of OneNote,” explained Jared Spataro, Corporate Vice President for Microsoft 365.

Fluid components will also help employees to collaborate synchronously and asynchronously in other Office apps including Outlook on the web, where coworkers can collaborate on tasks, notes, and agenda items. This is a big step forward to make the Microsoft 365 ecosystem more collaborative at a time where businesses are still figuring out this new hybrid work reality.

On mobile, the Microsoft Teams app has also received support for PowerPoint Live and Dynamic view, and Custom background are also now available on iOS and coming to Android.
