Microsoft’s Smoked by Windows Phone advertising ploy has become more and more popular as the company sets its sights on running the challenge across the globe. On top of that, Nokia has launched a related challenge called “Blown Away by Nokia Lumia.”

“That’s the happy lesson we’ve been learning these last few weeks as we’ve watched Smoked By Windows Phone challenges spread around the world,” Microsoft mentions in an official blog post. Microsoft has hit California, Spain, and Hong Kong recently, and not to mention Las Vegas, Nevada not that long ago.

Just recently, Microsoft Indonesia held a Smoked by Windows Phone contest, which resulted in 640 wins and 50 losses in a total of three days.

Nokia is even running similar advertising by running their own challenges called “Blown Away by Nokia Lumia.”
