Microsoft developing iPad version of Office?

New reports are claiming that Microsoft are actively working on a version of Microsoft Office for the Apple iPad. The software is expected to launch sometime in 2012, and could be prices around $10.

The Daily , who cite unnamed sources are reporting that Microsoft are actively working on an iOS version of Office for the iPad. The report claims that it will be prices around $10, and will be released sometime in 2012.

Releasing Office for the iPad is only a good thing for Microsoft, with over 87 thousand iPads being sold everyday, this could be a great market for Microsoft.

The report is also claiming that Microsoft are working on a major update for Office on Mac, which should make the software more compatible with Apples latest OS release ‘Lion.’

Remember, these are all rumours, so take them with a grain of salt.
