Steve Ballmer

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has added a few big names to his political advocacy group, which includes Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates. Other names include Microsoft’s Executive VP of Legal and Corporate Affairs Brad Smith and Sean Parker from Facebook/Napster.

Mark Zuckerberg’s political advocacy group, called FWD.us, is aimed at changing the way Washington handles issues around immigration, education, and employment in the United States. FWD.us isn’t part of Facebook, rather it is Zuckerberg’s own personal venture.

“We’re thrilled that Bill Gates, Brad Smith, Steve Ballmer, and Sean Parker – longtime advocates for vital policies like comprehensive immigration reform that will grow our economy – are joining FWD.us’ efforts to organize and engage the tech community,” Joe Green, President of FWD.us stated.

Google’s Eric Schmidt and Yahoo’s Marissa Mayer are already a part of this advocacy group, joining the group during its launch. Zuckerberg hopes to create an impact in the political arena by having several Fortune 500 head-honchos take part in his advocacy group. The main focus of the group? Education!
