Microsoft boasts about the success of the Surface Pro 3 in new 'Accolades' commercial

The Surface Pro 3 is a commercial – and financial – success for Microsoft. Students are accepting it, business are demanding it, and customers love it. Microsoft’s bet on a tablet that can replace your laptop has paid off.

Of course, how else can you let everyone know about the device’s success other than releasing a video ad, suitably entitled ‘Accolades’. The commercial, which you can watch below, highlights a number of review quotes from around the web such as “…the most beautiful thing Microsoft has ever produced” from the Verge, “Gadget of the Year 2014” and “Computer of the Year 2014” from Stuff, and “One of the 25 best inventions of 2014” from Time.

Some of those sites have been rather critical of the first two generations of the Surface Pro, praising the concept but criticizing the execution. However, it seems Microsoft has finally managed to hit the sweet spot between performance, portability, and flexibility with the 3rd generation.

This commercial joins a number of others that Microsoft has released for the Surface Pro 3, and you can check out some of the most popular ones here.
