Microsoft announces its next generation of the Wireless Display Adapter, coming soon – onmsft.com

Microsoft has taken to the Windows Blog to announce a new version of the Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter that is set to come to worldwide markets later this year..

\

The Wireless Display Adapter is a first-party accessory from Microsoft that functions similarly to the Google Chromecast, using Miracast technology, allowing content from any Miracast-supported device to be streamed to any screen with an HDMI port. Due to Miracast, the devices do not require any internet, and being a first-party device, it has great quality and ease of use while being compact. Apparently those qualities made the device popular enough to students and road warriors that it warrants Microsoft to produce a new version.

The new generation of Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter has all the features from its predecessor, even lower latency, and a new form factor that seems to be even easier to carry.
