Microsoft has taken another step towards the company’s latest “Cloud and Mobile” motto. The US-based technology giant has acquired France-based Capptain, a company that provides analysis, marketing response, user engagement and other services to mobile and Web developers, helping them increase the ROI.
Microsoft could use this technology in its Azure ‘Mobile Services’, where it presently offers developers a platform to enhance their apps. Though, neither of the parties revealed the terms of the acquisition. “With Capptain’s solution, organizations can analyze customer and employee behavior in real-time, and respond by pushing targeted messages, announcements, information or offers.” the company notes in a blog post.
Speaking of the company Microsoft has acquired, Capptain, is available on all the popular mobile operating systems and HTML5 and several operating systems for TV as well. With Capptain, Microsoft will hope to expand and strengthen the capabilities of its Azure platform for mobile app developers. “Capptain will bring a vital new element to our end-to-end story for mobile app development – real-time user and push analytics.” the blog post read.
