MetroPCS Lumia 521 gets the Windows Phone 8.1 Cyan update

It’s good to see that Microsoft, along with the carrier partners, are trying to make sure that existing Lumia devices are running the latest mobile operating system. Not too long ago, T-Mobile rolled out the Windows Phone 8.1 Cyan update for its Lumia 521. Now, reports suggest the latest update is rolling out for the MetroPCS Lumia 521 as we speak.

Windows Phone 8.1 with Cyan brings a handful of new features on board, including the digital personal assistant Cortana, word flow keyboard, customizable live tiles, ability to customize Start Screen, Action center which displays notifications and provides quick access to connectivity settings, and a bunch of other improvements on board.

The update is rolling out at the moment, but you may not get the update right away. Also, you can manually check for the update from Settings on your device.
