Announced earlier this month at the IFA 2014, the Lumia 830 is set to hit retail in global markets starting this month with a EUR 330 price tag or equivalent in other markets. Recently, Microsoft held a launch event in Vietnam to announce its mid-rage flagship device, the Lumia 830. The handset comes with a VND 7,999,000 (almost $375) price tag, and will hit retail in the country next month.
The mid-range Lumia 830 packs a 5-inch display rocking a 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. Under the hood, there’s a quad-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, coupled with a microSD card slot for expansion. The most attractive attribute is the 10MP PureView camera on the back, with Carl Zeiss Optics and optical images stabilization.
There’s a 0.9MP secondary camera, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, LTE support, a 2,200 mAh battery, and will be one of the first devices to launch with the Windows Phone 8.1/Denim update out of the box.
There’s no word about the launch of the handset in other markets, but it shouldn’t be long now. We’ll update you as soon as the software giant announces the handset in other markets.
