Lumia 1520

Last week, a rumor suggested that Microsoft is working on a successor of their flagship phablet released last year, which is reportedly heading to T-Mobile. The news came from none other than the well-connected @evleaks, and he’s back with some more juicy information about the handset.

The Lumia 1520 packed a Snapdragon 800 SoC, which is a beast in itself, but it seems the Lumia 1525 will come with the upgraded Snapdragon 801 chipset, and will run Windows Phone 8.1 as its operating system. That’s not the only information, according to @evleaks, T-Mobile will not be the only carrier to sell the Lumia 1525, as it will also land on AT&T and Verizon. Sounds great?

Other details about the internals are still unknown, but we can expect it to carry 3GB of RAM, or 32GB of internal storage, or a QHD display maybe. There’s no word what Microsoft may have planned for its fans, but the company is reportedly working on a handful of devices, including Android-powered Lumias as well. It’s going to be an interesting year for the folks at Redmond.

What do you think? Any plans on getting the Lumia 1525 if its real? Sound off in the comments below.
