Lenovo plans to launch a Windows 10 phone via China Mobile later this year

During WinHEC today in China, Microsoft unveiled that Lenovo has plans to launch a Windows 10 smartphone later this year. Lenovo is one of the world’s leading PC manufacturers and having a Windows 10 smartphone from Lenovo will be quite interesting to see.

“Lenovo also announced their commitment to build Windows phones, to be available in mid-year 2015 via China Mobile,” Microsoft stated in an official blog post. “A key way we will make the upgrade experience to Windows 10 easy is through strong partnerships with technology leaders.”

No specific details were given, aside from the fact that we will see this Lenovo-powered Windows 10 smartphone later this year via China Mobile. No word if Lenovo plans to launch one device or more than one device, and if it will be worldwide. More on this as it develops.
