Nextgen Reader

\

Nextgen Reader is one of the most popular RSS readers for Windows and Windows Phone handsets, and relies on Feedly for the RSS feeds. Recently, the app picked up an update for Windows 8.1, and comes with a handful of new features, including one click support for OneNote. With just a press of a button, you can move articles to your OneNote for later reading.

\

The app also introduces a number of other important new features, including the ability to post the article to Facebook page from within the app, as well as support for new keyboard shortcuts for OneNote and Buffer.

\

Here’s a complete list of features introduced in the latest update:

\

    \

  • New: Inbuilt OneNote support (just one click or key press to save).
  • \

  • New: Select favorite sharing or saving tool e.g. Post (default), OneNote, Pocket, etc.
  • \

  • New: Post to Facebook page.
  • \

  • New: Keyboard shortcuts – C: Clip to OneNote, B: Buffer.
  • \

  • Improved: Set default mobilizer directly from drop down menu.
  • \

  • Updated error messages and handling.
  • \

  • Other design improvements and bug fixes.
  • \

\

Head over to the Windows Store to update the app. It comes with a $2.99 price tag, but is currently available for $1.49. Additionally, it’s a universal app so you don’t have to pay for it on both platforms, Windows and Windows Phone.
