Kerbal Space Program coming soon to Xbox One

Earlier this year, Kerbal Space Program, a space flight simulator game, made its way to PCs. If you’re a fan of space simulation games, you’ll be glad to find out that it’s headed to Xbox One later this year (via Xbox Wire). At the moment, the game developer hasn’t released an exact availability date nor any pricing details, but we should get them in the near future. The game usually costs $39.99 on Steam so it should carry a similar price tag when it launches on the Xbox One.

As a player, you control Kerbals, a race of small green humanoids, who have build a fully furnished and functional spaceport designed to create vehicles which will let them explore the space and visit distant planets and stars. It’s not as easy as it seems as you have to take into account every physics-related aspect while creating your ships so it can travel throughout space and explore what’s in it. Once you’re rocket is in space, you can explore celestial bodies and make sure your Kerbals reach home safe and sound.

The game may look simple at first sight, but it’s quite complex and challenging especially for users playing it for the first time. Players can embark upon different missions which tend to get difficult as you move on with the game, from achieving orbit to landing on distant planets and moons in the space. There are different game modes, including sandbox mode, science mode, and career mode, for users to try as well.

The game’s model is quite realistic making other notable members of the space industry from NASA and SpaceX to take interest in the game.

In the meantime, you can check out the brief video the folks at Microsoft posted on YouTube. We’ll get back to you as soon as we get to hear anything more about its availability and pricing.
