An update to The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRTCT) app for Windows Phone is now available in the Windows Store. A few new features have been added to the app for users of India’s railroad system. Here’s what’s new in version 1.0.1.0.

  • New station accommodated
  • Suvidha Train
  • Dynamic Pricing
  • ID Card not required to book the ticket
  • Performance

For those who don’t know what the app is, it provides a booking facility of Railway tickets. IRCTCalso offers other services such as checking reservation status, train schedules, train routes. Other additions include notification of the availability of tickets, cancellation status, booking history, recent history, favorites, adding passengers as contacts, and roaming the transactions between multiple devices.

Windows Phone devices are becoming a relatively well-known product in India. Not long ago, the State Bank of India released their SBI Quick app, which lets users check their balance, block their ATM card, display mini statements and more.
