Internet Explorer is still the most popular internet browser, according to the latest figures from NetMarketShare, with a 58.94 percent, increasing slightly from 58.49 percent in October. The second and third spot are captured by Chrome and Firefox who are residing at 20.57 and 13.26 percent share respectively.
Let’s take a look at how different versions of the most popular browser are performing. Similar to October, Internet Explorer 11 continues to lead the market with a 25.49 percent market share, rising from 24.05 percent in November. Internet Explorer 8 is still on the second spot, but it’s still following a downward trend, falling from 17.31 percent in October to 15.11 percent. That’s a sharp decline, and could be due to the fact that people are now moving to the latest version of the browser.

Among others, Internet Explorer 9 rose to 9.14 percent from 8.68 percent to grab the fourth spot. Chrome 38 has seen a sharp increase from 6.75 to 11.25 percent to dethrone Internet Explorer 9 from the third spot. As for Internet Explorer 10, it also rose from 6.09 to 7.54 percent in the month of November. Firefox 32 also saw a sharp decline from 7.61 to 5.99 percent.
