Infinity Runner for Windows 8.1: A sci-fi action running game that features stunning levels and Oculus Rift support

There are quite a few games in the Windows Store that seem basic. Not this game. Infinity Runner for Windows 8.1 is a sci-fi action running game that features stunning levels.

“The Infinity is the largest spaceship ever built by man-kind; flung into the void of space to secure humanity a new home amongst the stars. However, instead of discovering paradise, the inhabitants of The Infinity unlocked the door to a long forgotten nightmare. Deep inside this leviathan something terrible hunts, out of myth and legend the last werewolf stalks the ship,” the app description reads.

So what exactly do you do in Infinity Runner? You are a prisoner looking to escape the giant spaceship, in a first-person perspective. You must use moves based on parkour and mixed martial arts in order to combat the constantly changing and expansive surrounding.

The app, from Wales Interactive, also features a riveting story for added affect. The graphics are amazing for an app and the dark gameplay makes you feel like you are playing on a console. If you are looking for one super cool sci-fi action game, check out Infinity Runner.

You can check out the app in action below. You can also head over to the download link to snag the app for $11.99, it is well worth the money. You can also snag a free trial.

Editor’s note: This post was edited to clarify a mistake that was listed in the Windows Store. This app does not support Oculus Rift, only the steam version of the game does.
