Halo is among the most venerable and popular franchises on Xbox today. The two brands are completely symbiotic and synonymous with one another, and as such, news of the former is invariably good for the latter.
This trend continues with the release of the latest trailer, showcasing the multiplayer beta of Halo 5: Guardians in all of its gory glory. Accompanied by an enthusiastic narrator (who sounds uncannily like a cross between the announcer from Unreal Tournament and a Mountain-Dew infused Seth Rogen), the chaotic gameplay of the beta is showcased fully, including a number of new weapons. Also shown are new modes, maps and Spartan abilities, which promise to make the upcoming title particularly thrilling, and certainly explosive in the extreme.
The beta will begin on December 29th, and will run for a period of three weeks, each week of new content will be featured, those who simply wish to spectate can do so in the new Spectator mode. Those who wish to take part must own a copy of Halo: The Master Chief Edition for Xbox One.
