Roughly a year and a half after launching, the game Hyper Scape has let gamers know it will be shutting down.
When attempting to download the game from the Ubisoft website, games are informed in about the game’s closure with the title The Future of Hyper Scape.

We have made the difficult decision to end development of Hyper Scape and shut the game down as of April 28th. We set out to create a vertical, close-quarters, and fast-paced shooter experience and we are extremely grateful to our community for joining us on our journey. We will be taking key learnings from this game into future products.
To the Hyper Scape community, thank you for your passion and dedication to the world of Neo Arcadia both inside and outside of the game. Your devotion to the game we built will always be cherished.

Hyper Scape went into open Beta back in July 31, 2020 and became publicly available August of the same year.
While we here at OnMSFT hadn’t had a chance to review the game, others who have been left with an “incomplete” impression of it during its first season.
Now, three seasons deep, and only one update issued in April 2021, it seems Ubisoft is deciding to cut its losses on the game and move on. The futuristic cyber warfare battle royale game introduced several interesting takes on the genre and we’ll have to wait and see if these ideas trickle down into other games of the same ilk.
