HP unveils business-oriented Pro x2 612 detachable laptop – onmsft.com

Earlier today, HP took the wraps off its new Windows 8.1 powered two-in-one PC HP Pro x2 612. The tablet offers a full-fledged laptop experience, and detaches itself so it can also be used as a Windows tablet.  

The new HP Pro x2 612 comes with a 12.5-inch diagonal display with FHD resolution, which can be attached to a keyboard. The keyboard comes with an additional battery that provides users with extra battery timing. The new machine is powered by an Intel Core i3 and i5 processors under the hood, as well as a VGA, Ethernet, DisplayPort, and two USB 3.0 ports. To boost the productivity of the users, the device comes with a Wacom pen with built-in holder, and give users the ability to write, draw graphical representations, and much more. 

When connected with the power keyboard cover, the company claims it can provide users with an impressive 14 hours battery time. To make sure its secure enough, the tablet comes with enhancements such as HP BIOS, HP Client Security, HP Sure Start, Smart Card Reader, HP TPM and an optional fingerprint reader.  

As always, the company didn’t provide any details about the pricing of the tablet, but it’s expected to hit the retail shelves in September.
