HP is refunding people who recently purchased the no longer in development HP TouchPad. The HP TouchPad has shown itself to become one of the biggest tablet fails in the whole of the industry, BestBuy couldn’t sell 10% of the tablets stock. HP bought webOS back in 2010 for $1.2 Billion.
The company recently stopped production of the Tablet due to poor ratings, the product wasn’t selling very well in stores across the world. HP also dropped the TouchPad’s price to a mere $100. HP is planning to give credit or even a full refund to those who purchased the TouchPad before HP decided to stop productions of the product.
In order to receive a refund, HP requires you to call their Home and Office phone services, from there you can ask for either credit option. HP will also give you $10 credit for the file sale difference to compensate you for you’re taxes. HP is also asking retailers to do the same thing.
HP has promised that they are not done with webOS, they plan to look into licensing to other companies.
