Although Microsoft is yet to talk about what’s coming for the phone side of Windows 10, it appears the company knows who will and who won’t receive the update to Windows 10 when it’s released. Today on twitter, the official Microsoft Lumia account confirmed that all Lumia devices running Windows Phone 8 will indeed get an upgrade to Windows 10.
The Microsoft Lumia account on Twitter is an official account run by Microsoft, meaning the information it spits out is generally official. So hopefully this means all Lumia devices running Windows Phone 8, from the very first Windows Phone 8 Lumia device all the way to the lowest end Lumias today.
@_Y06_ There will be Windows 10 upgrades for all Lumia Windows Phone 8 devices 🙂 And we will release new Windows 10 models in the future!

This news comes to light just as our sources begin to tell us that Microsoft is prepping (or perhaps have already issued) builds of Windows Phone 10 to partners for testing. We understand that the builds being issued to partners at this time aren’t very interesting, considering how early development is on the touch-side of Windows 10.
Still, are you happy to hear this news? All Lumias are getting an update to Windows 10, which is excellent.
