Halo: Spartan Strike delayed, expected to launch in early 2015

\

Earlier this year, Microsoft, in collaboration with 343 Industries, announced Halo: Spartan Strike which was expected to launch on Windows, Windows Phone, and Steam on December 12th. If you were waiting for the game to launch next week, we’ve got some bad news for you. The company announced the touch-based shooter has been delayed.

\

The company mentioned resolving the matchmaking issues in Halo: The Master Chief Collection is the top priority, and as a result, they’ve decided to move the release date of Halo: Spartan Strike to early 2015. How early, we don’t know that yet, but we’re hoping to find out more about it in the coming weeks.

The developer said in an official blog post,

Earlier this year, we announced Halo: Spartan Strike, our latest touch-based top-down shooter for Windows 8, Windows Phone 8 and Steam, will be available on Dec. 12. While we’re excited about this all-new Halo experience, our commitment to resolving the current matchmaking issues in Halo: The Master Chief Collection remains the top priority. As a result, we have decided to move the release of Halo: Spartan Strike to early 2015.

This is definitely disappointing news for Halo fans who are eagerly waiting for the Halo: Spartan Strike to launch. There’s no exact availability date available except the vague “early 2015” but we’ll let you know as soon as we hear anything about the launch. In the meantime, you can check out the preview of Halo: Spartan Strike along with everything it has to offer.

As far as the features are concerned, the game offers several vehicles including the iconic Warthog jeep, or the all-new Kestrel VTOL. Gamers can also make use of deadly weapons such as suppressor, scatter shot, binary rifle, and incineration cannon, and many different armor abilities proximity mine, bubble shield, and more.
