My Go, a UK-based company that offers a range of ultra-affordable tablets, netbooks and e-readers, is set to launch their very own Windows Phone device. Uncovered today, it appears that My Go is getting its feet wet in the smartphone business with their first ever “Windows” device.
The phone is known as the GoFone GF47W and features a 4.7-inch IPS LCD with HD (1280×720) resolution with Dragontrail Glass, a Quad-core 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of onboard storage, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front-facing camera, 7.2mm-thick body, and Dual-SIM support.
My Go has this phone listed on their website, however it also shows a “Confidential Internal Use Only” label, which tells us that this device wasn’t meant to be uncovered just yet. My Go becomes yet another company to jump on board the Windows Phone bandwagon, joining 14 new OEMs with more than 22 Windows Phone devices announced in the last few months.
Interestingly enough, the handset image showcases a “Windows” logo, rather than “Windows Phone.” This simply adds more fuel to the fire that claims Microsoft is dropping the “Windows Phone” brand name in favor of just “Windows.”
No word on which carrier will have the device and how much it will cost. We’ll have more on this device as details develop. Stay tuned!
