Halo Infinite esports plans begin to take shape with Esports Engine jumping on board

Esports Engine has been formally revealed as the new Global Management Partner for the official esports competitions for the Halo Infinite video game.

Halo Infinite is the upcoming latest entry in the Halo video game franchise that’s expected to drop later this year on Xbox One and will be playable on the new Xbox Series X console. Halo is an Xbox console-exclusive series which means that a successful esports scene for the Halo Infinite title at launch will likely trickle down to added success for Microsoft’s Xbox consoles as well.

Esports Engine has a long history on the esports scene and should be more than comfortable assisting in the development of the esports aspects of Halo Infinite while it’s in development and post launch.

“We are extremely excited to work with 343 Industries as their Global Management Partner and leverage our rich Halo history and 20 years of esports operations experience to help build the best program for players, fans, teams, and tournament operators around the world,” Esports Engine’s CEO, Adam Apicella, said in an official statement. “From our experience running Halo for so many years and also being a third party operator trying to make ends meet – now being able to help design a program that’s something the fans want, something the players want, that’s great for the teams, great for the other operators – it’s super exciting to be involved in such a monumental project.”
