Google app for Windows Phone 8 receives voice search and improved image viewing

With the bad blood between Google and Microsoft over the official YouTube app for Windows Phone 8, Google has set aside their differences and rolled out an update to the official Google app for Windows Phone 8.

In this update, Google has added voice search, improved Google Image viewing, the ability to sign into your Google account via the app, and various other bug fixes and performance improvements. The build number has also been bumped to 2.0.295.80. 

“Search faster and easier with the Google Search app for Windows Phone. With Google Search, you can talk to Google and understand the world’s people, places and things,” the app description reads. The app features voice search, so you can quickly find what you need with the press of a button.
