Gears of War 4 is one of the most anticipated Xbox One and Windows 10 exclusive games to be released this fall. The third-person shooter will be one of the first games to support High Dynamic Range (HDR) on the brand new Xbox One S, but the game’s soundtrack could also really contribute help the game deliver a truly unforgettable experience to fans of the franchise.

Adam Fletcher, Director of Community at The Coalition, revealed today that the game’s score is composed by Ramin Djawadi, a Grammy and Emmy Award-nominated musician who previously scored the soundtracks for hit TV shows and films Game of Thrones, Iron Man and Pacific Rim. The exec shared:

Ramin’s compositions mixed with the sounds of the iconic lancers, gnashers and voices of the franchise, take the game to a whole new level. Everyone at The Coalition and Xbox is a huge fan of Ramin’s work, and the music he’s composed for Gears of War 4 is something we think is really special and adds an amazing dimension to the experience.

In the video below, you can have first a behind the scenes look at Ramin at work as well as commentary from Studio Head Rod Fergusson, Audio Director John Morgan and Mixing Engineer Alan Meyerson explaining what they were looking to achieve for the game’s musical themes.

As one of the first game that supports the Xbox Play Anywhere program, Gears of War 4 will available worldwide October 11 on Xbox One and Windows 10 PC and purchasing a digital copy of the game will allow you to play on both platforms.
