Just recently, the popular animated movie Despicable Me 2 was made available on DVD and Blu-ray, along with an app release for both Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone 8. Gameloft has also released the first update to the Despicable Me Minion Rush for both Windows 8.1 and Windows Phone – albeit a minor update.
“Gru’s loyal yellow gibberish-speaking Minions are ready for their toughest challenge in Despicable Me: Minion Rush. Play as a Minion and compete with others in hilarious, fast-paced challenges in order to impress your boss, (former?) super-villain Gru! Jump, fly, dodge obstacles, collect bananas, be mischievous, and defeat villains to earn the title of Minion of the Year!” the app description reads.
No word as to what was improved or what new features were added into the Windows 8.1 app, as no change log was available. So far, we’ve noticed the app to be a bit faster.
The Windows Phone version of the app, which was bumped to version 1.0.0.1 thanks to the update, makes no mention as to what was fixed either. But we’d venture an educated guess and say that bugs were fixed and performance improvements were made – a typical scenario with the majority of minor app updates.
