FreePrints for Windows and Windows Phone is given a stay of execution

FreePrints for Windows and Windows Phone is given a stay of execution Last week, WinBeta reported that the Windows Phone app, FreePrints, was scheduled to be terminated from the Windows and Windows Phone stores on March 1, 2015. However, after a fan revolt of the announcement of the FreePrints Windows Phone photo ordering and printing app termination, FreePrints is back in action in the Windows and Windows Phone stores with an apology from the company.

FreePrints sent out an email to all Windows and Windows Phone users apologizing for their mistake:

“Last week we announced our intention to end support for the Windows and Windows Phone versions of FreePrints. Almost immediately we heard back from many of you. You challenged us to reconsider that plan.

Truthfully, we were moved by your enthusiasm for FreePrints, and it didn’t take long for us to realize that we had made the wrong decision. We apologize for any hardship caused by our original email. Every company makes mistakes; the key, we feel, is admitting that early and taking steps to rectify them.

With that in mind, we’d like to announce our renewed commitment to FreePrints for Windows Phone and Windows desktop. FreePrints is once again available in the Windows Store and the service will continue without interruption. In addition, you have our promise that we will continue to make improvements to the Windows versions of FreePrints in the coming weeks.”

Thankfully, FreePrints reconsidered their Windows and Windows Phone app removal and had an obvious change of heart due to the power of the people. Now FreePrints is back online in the Windows and Windows Phone stores; you can download the FreePrints app in the links below.
