Here are five new video games that came out on Xbox One today

Lichdom: Battlemage on Xbox One\n

After the massive launch of Quantum Break on the Xbox One earlier this week, new releases on the console appeared to slow down which was probably a good idea seeing how well its been received. With everyone playing Quantum Break, it would be near-impossible to market a smaller title at the same time.

\n

The drought is over today however with the arrival of Tron RUN/r and five other titles on Xbox One.

\n

The first of these five is a 2d platformer called, Jumpjet Rex. The game follows the adventures of a cute little T-Rex that must jump and run through over 40 regular levels, a variety of party modes, and both one player and local co-op multiplayer. Here’s the official description:

\n

Take control of a T-Rex with extraterrestrial jump boots, tasked with saving dino-kind from extinction in this highly challenging, 2-D platformer. Race against the clock as you jump, drop and dash your way through 40+ challenging levels to preserve life during the Mesozoic era! JumpJet Rex features beautiful hand-drawn 16-bit graphics and awesome chiptune music that transfers players back to the 2-D platforming glory days.

The second game out this week is Lichdom: Battlemage. This first-person shooter has a magical fantasy twist with a variety of magical attacks and effects at the player’s disposal. If the screenshots are anything to go by, this game will look amazing in action.

\n

In this fierce, first person spell-caster, you play as “Dragon,” a scorned mage out to seek revenge on Shax, the evil overlord who destroyed your family. Using an arsenal of unlimited spells as your only form of weaponry, you must fight off hordes of evil cult members, monsters, and demons summoned from the abyss in a mission to avenge your loved ones.

Next up is Letter Quest: Grimm’s Journey Remastered, a cute little turn-based roleplaying game that revolves around two small grim reapers. The game comes with over 40 stages to complete and an endless mode for those after a challenge. There are also a whopping 60 Xbox Achievements to earn for the Gamerscore collector. Here’s the official description:

\n

The grim reapers Grimm and Rose need your help to defeat a legion of monsters, ghosts, and evil bunnies using the power of words! Spell words to battle monsters and earn gems that can be used to purchase upgrades, books, special items, potions, and much more! Letter Quest is a turn-based RPG featuring high-res artwork, clever wordplay, and two great soundtracks. Use your linguistic skills to survive!

The fourth title out today is Enigmatis: The Ghosts of Maple Creek, a puzzle and trivia game that also has a free trial version for gamers to have a go at before diving into the full version.

\n

Imagine waking up after a powerful storm as the sun goes down. You find yourself just outside a small town on the side of the road. A shiver runs down your spine as your body remembers the recent dramatic events that your mind cannot or will not recall… Will you dare to solve the ages-old mystery of Maple Creek?

Finally, there’s Stikbold! A Dodgeball Adventure, a quirky dodgeball game that contains both a single and multiplayer mode, a story mode, and a bizarre 70s-themed soundtrack. Here’s the description:

\n

Stikbold! is a groovy 70s-themed single and local multiplayer fantasy dodgeball game with intense, quirky arenas and chaos-inducing random events which change the outcome of each round. Stikbold! is a single and local multiplayer dodgeball game heavily inspired by the 70’s, back when tacky was cool and there was no such thing as bad style.
