Epicor Mobile Sales Assistant Connects Field Users to Real-Time Inventory Levels, Accurate Pricing and Customer Data; Assists with Deeper Business Relationships through Immediate Action on Customer Opportunities Anywhere

Epicor Software Corporation, a leading provider of enterprise business software solutions for the midmarket and divisions of Global 1000 companies, today announced the general availability of Epicor Mobile Sales Assistant, the latest app to debut for the Epicor Mobile product line. Epicor Mobile Sales Assistant is a comprehensive enterprise mobility solution that provides complete sales and fulfillment workflow processes, further aligning mobile devices with business operations to achieve greater productivity and customer satisfaction in the field.

Epicor Mobile Sales Assistant is uniquely designed for sales and distribution field workers who require immediate visibility of inventory, pricing, stock availability and customer-specific data to effectively and efficiently fulfill customer orders while on the road. Epicor Mobile Sales Assistant is fully integrated with Epicor enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions extending them to mobile devices to assist higher customer satisfaction levels through immediate actions on customer needs. Epicor customer relationship management (CRM) data seamlessly flows bi-directionally with the mobile device so users in the field can instantly access detailed account information to maximize customer orders and provide superior customer service.

“Epicor Mobile Sales Assistant is an exciting new addition to the Epicor Mobile product line,” said James Norwood, senior vice president, worldwide product marketing for Epicor. “Mobile devices are continuing to trend up as companies are viewing enterprise mobility solutions as a viable means to maximize field staff productivity and increase customer satisfaction. Epicor Mobile Sales Assistant joins Epicor Mobile Field Service as a true extension of the enterprise that synchronizes seamlessly with Epicor ERP ensuring sales and service opportunities are not lost to travel and customer needs are taken care of on-the-spot.”

Architected for Efficient Field Sales and Distribution
Epicor Mobile Sales Assistant goes beyond a simple mobile device application. The industry-proven Microsoft® three-tier architecture and database synchronization technologies deliver relevant functions of ERP to the hands of field users with the reliability and integrity users expect from a genuine Epicor solution. Epicor Mobile Sales Assistant can operate with or without a connection to Epicor ERP. The mobile device runs its own Microsoft SQL Server Compact database, and once synchronized with the Mobile Server can operate offline and stand-alone. When a connection is available, product, price, and customer sales and data transactions synchronize automatically between the mobile device and ERP system, allowing field users to transact business wherever it happens, regardless of location or connectivity.

Epicor Mobile solutions include mobile management, hardware and services that ensures efficient deployments and adoption of the solution, with the results of faster return on investment and low total cost of ownership

Faster Order-to-Cash Cycle with Smarter Workflow Processes
Using Epicor Mobile Sales Assistant, field workers can make immediate business transactions from their mobile device at the point of decision. In the field, users can accurately quote, order, fulfill, invoice and accept payment for the goods and services they sold, significantly shortening the order-to-cash cycle from days to minutes. Directly tied to Epicor CRM, field associates can also view pertinent customer account information such as replenishment requirements and accurate product pricing, enabling users to accurately restock merchandise and make adjustments to orders all while on-site.

Albi Imports, a distributor and importer of contemporary and stylish home, gift and kitchenware products, is leveraging Epicor Mobile Sales Assistant to help sell their products to department, specialist and independent stores throughout Australia. “Epicor Mobile Sales Assistant is fully integrated with our backend business system in real time so field reps know if they have sufficient stock on hand to immediately fulfill customer requirements,” said Michael Granek, financial controller for Albi Imports.

Increased Value-Added Activities with Mobile Access to Supply Chain
Epicor Mobile Sales Assistant is a robust solution that captures real-time visibility of inventory levels helping to significantly reduce back orders while increasing sales and overall customer satisfaction. The mobile solution delivers all of the features and functionality required to view current stock and pricing information to ensure customers are supplied with the product they want and when they want it. Field associates can search inventory immediately, enabling users to supply stock straight off the delivery truck, or secure stock from other warehouses in the region with cross-selling capabilities available all within the same mobile app.
