Toshiba Encore 2

Earlier today, Toshiba added a handful of Windows 8.1-powered device to its product portfolio, including two new Encore tablets, a laptop, and two notebook hybrids. First up is Encore 2, which comes in two screen sizes: 8-inch and 10.1-inch. The tablets are set to launch in July with a $199.99 and $269.99 price tag, respectively.

Powered by Windows 8.1 as the operating system, the tablets boasts a screen resolution of 1280 by 800 pixels, and ships with an Intel Atom processor under the hood. The tablets also feature a built-in micro HDMI slot, as well as a Micro-USB 2.0 port for connecting to external devices and charging. On the storage side, the Encore 2 tablets offer 64GB of internal storage with a MicroSD card slot for expansion. On the rear, there’s a 5MP shooter for photos and videos, along with a HD webcam for video conferencing. The company claims Encore 2 tablets are capable of delivering a battery time up to 10 hours.

“Our Encore 2 tablets are the perfect complement to a customer’s arsenal of devices, giving them the familiarity and common functionality of Windows for a more seamless computing experience, whether they’re editing or creating documents, enjoying movies and games or staying in touch with friends and family,” said Toshiba’s Philip Osako.

Toshiba Satellite Laptop

Next up is the Satellite Radius laptop with 360 degrees flip and fold display, which can give users different viewing angles. The laptop comes with a 15.6-inch diagonal Full HD touchscreen display, so it can also be used in tablet mode, thanks to the convertible design it has to offer. The laptop comes with several configurations, with 4th generation i5 or i7 processors, 8GB of memory and up to 1TB of storage space.

The HDMI port on the machine supports 4K video output when connected with compatible TV, and features three USB 3.0 slots, as well as a Toshiba’s USB Sleep & Charge technology, which can charge USB-powered devices even when the machine is off. The laptop will hit the retail shelves sometime in July and will be exclusively available at Best Buy, with the starting price of $925.99.

Last in the list are two new detachable laptops — the Satellite Click 2 and Satellite Click 2 Pro. The new Satellite Click 2 comes boasts a 13.3-inch display sporting a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels, with Windows 8.1 as its operating system. The laptop features Intel quad-core Pentium processor, 500GB hard drive, as well as the USB Sleep & Charge technology for offline charging using the USB ports.

On the other hand, the high-end Satellite Click 2 Pro comes with a Full HD 13.3-inch diagonal removable display, and comes with 4th generation Intel processor under the hood. Other features include 500 GB 802.11ac WiFi, two USB 3.0 ports with offline charging capabilities as all other Satellite Click 2, and runs on Windows 8.1.

The new Satellite Click 2 is priced at $586.99, while the Satellite Click 2 Pro will cost $1,028.99. Both tablets will hit retail in late-June, and will be exclusively available from Best Buy as well as Toshiba.
