Pre-order Power Rangers: Mega Battle on Xbox One to unlock Season 2 characters!

The pre-order bonus for the upcoming Power Rangers Xbox One video game, Saban’s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Mega Battle, has been announced and it’s pretty cool. All pre-orders placed before the game’s release date on the 17th of January 2017 will receive the Morphenomenal Pack. This pack, which is exclusive to pre-ordered version of the game, contains playable character versions of Rocky, Aisha, Adam, and Kat from the second season of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers as well as an alternate version of Billy and a White Ranger version of Tommy.

While the main game launches next month, the Morphenomenal Pack is currently listed for a March 17th release.

Saban’s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Mega Battle is based on the classic 90s kids show, Saban’s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, and not the upcoming blockbuster movie. Its release is likely a form of promotion for the film however.

The game supports up to four players in local multiplayer and allows players to control the main cast of characters in their civilian forums and transform in the middle of battle once they’ve achieved a certain level of in-game activity. Here’s the official game description:

Pre-order now and receive the human characters Rocky, Aisha, Adam & Kat from Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Season 2! Saban’s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Mega Battle provides a creative and modern re-imaging of the classic multiplayer beat-em-up genre. Level up your rangers, team up with friends, summon the Megazord, and fight your way through levels stylized after classic Mighty Morphin Power Rangers episodes! • CLASSIC POWER RANGER DNA INTACT: Morph, use weapons & martial arts, and summon the larger-than-life Megazord! • INTUITIVE & DEEP BATTLE SYSTEM: Includes light, heavy, weapon and projectile attacks. Players will be able to integrate weapon strikes into different combo strings! • LEVELING & CUSTOMIZATION: Players can level-up and unlock new moves, attacks and weapons. • NOSTALGIC: Each level is based on a classic episode from the TV series. The levels are filled with familiar dialogue, background details, cut scenes, and enemies pulled straight from the first two seasons of the show!
