It’s that time of year again when Star Wars fans claim a day as their own due to it kind of sounding like a phrase from the popular movie franchise and because, well, who doesn’t like Star Wars?
That’s right, it’s May the Fourth (as in, “May The Fourth be with you”) and now’s the perfect time to dive right into all of the Star Wars digital content that’s been made available recently. Here are my top five ways to celebrate Star Wars Day on Microsoft’s Xbox One.
Watch Star Wars
This may seem like an obvious activity for Star Wars Day but it’s a good one. All of the Star Wars movies from The Phantom Menace to The Force Awakens are available via Microsoft’s Movies & TV (or Films & TV) service to either rent or outright buy digitally for viewing on Xbox One as well as any other Windows 10 device that uses the same Microsoft account.

The Movies & TV service also has the Star Wars: Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels animated series and movies, both of which are must-watch for Star Wars fans due to how they expand the franchise’s storyline and characters. Star Wars: Rebels is even beginning to shed light on plot elements from The Force Awakens and the upcoming movies, Star Wars Episode VIII and IX.
Depending on the region, these series may also be available for viewing via the Xbox One Netflix app as well, which can be significantly cheaper than buying the full seasons individually.
Play some Star Wars Pinball
The Xbox One video game, Pinball FX2, has a ridiculously large number of quality Star Wars-themed pinball tables to play. From pinball tables based on each of the individual original trilogy movies to one all about Darth Vader and the Star Wars: Rebels animated series, there’s something here for every generation of Star Wars fan.

They recently added two new official Star Wars pinball tables inspired by Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens and more are expected in the future. Pinball FX2 is free to download but each pinball table must be purchased either individually or as part of a package from within the game. There is one free table that comes with the main download and additional tables can be purchased for just a few dollars each.
Surprise yourself with Disney Infinity 3.0
While Disney Infinity may look like a children’s game, it actually features some of the best Star Wars video game content on any console with a fully realized lightsaber and Force combat system that puts other attempts to shame.
There are currently three Star Wars video games in Disney Infinity 3.0 with a fourth due out by the end of 2016; Twilight of the Republic, Rise Against the Empire, and The Force Awakens. Each focuses on a different period in the Star Wars saga timeframe. Twilight of the Republic focuses on the prequels and Clone Wars animated series while Rise Against the Empire is original trilogy-based. The Force Awakens naturally follows the story of Star Wars Episode VII.

There’s a massive collection of characters to play as such as Yoda, Darth Maul, and Rey and loads of replayability for each game with numerous challenges and unloackables. The Disney Infinity 3.0 Starter Pack comes with the main Disney Infinity 3.0 base game as well as the Twilight of the Republic Play Set and two figures (Anakin and Ahsoka). Other Play Sets and figures can be bought separately.
Play with some Star Wars Lego
The Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens video game may be coming out in June 2016, but the extensive Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga Xbox 360 title is now available to play on Xbox One thanks to the new backwards compatibility feature that was added to the console last year.

Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga is one of the biggest Lego games released on the Xbox 360 and combines stories and characters from Episodes I through VI. Pretty much every character in the saga is playable in Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga however players will have to unlock each character by progressing through the story mode and collecting Lego bricks and icons.
Like Disney Infinity 3.0, this game also features two player co-op which makes it a great game for parties or family nights and since it was released for the Xbox 360, it can be bought for a super cheap price right now.
Join Star Wars Battlefront
By far one of the most-hyped video game releases of 2015, Star Wars Battlefront was absolutely massive when it launched on Xbox One. While its popularity has died down recently due to the lack of different game modes, EA is encouraging many gamers to pick it up again with new downloadable content that’s added new characters, locations, and options to deepen the gameplay.

Star Wars Battlefront, as the name suggests, is a rather violent video game so younger Star Wars fans may want to stick with one of the other suggestions on this list. It also focuses exclusively on the original trilogy timeline which could disappoint those with dreams of participating in a battle above the city-planet, Coruscant, or engaging in an epic colosseum fight for survival on Geonosis.
There are a variety of different downloadable content add-ons that can be purchased for Star Wars Battlefront but, like the main game itself, many of these are often discounted as part of the Xbox Live Deals with Gold promotional campaign, especially around Star Wars Day, so it’s possible to buy these for below recommended retail price.
Groove to some John Williams
A large number of Star Wars music is available to buy and listen to on the Xbox One in the Music section of the dashboard. Users can also subscribe to Microsoft’s Groove Music service and listen to their favorite Star Wars tracks for free (not including the cost of the subscription).

Another way to listen to Star Wars music on the Xbox One is via the Pandora app. Using this app is completely free but track selection is totally up to Pandora’s algorithm after the initial title or artist search. A search for Star Wars in Pandora for example, may result in the first track being from a Star Wars movie but the following tunes will likely be from other soundtracks such as Batman or Star Trek.
